Born Late Records, based in Fort Worth, Texas, offers a diverse selection of new and rare records, vintage music memorabilia, custom rock furniture, and more. Owned by Henry Vasquez and Brittany Elliott, the store is conveniently located next to a tattoo parlor. Customers can explore the record store and then visit the tattoo parlor for designs by Brittany Elliott. In redesigning their brand, I drew inspiration from the name “Born Late,” evoking a sense of being born in the wrong era with a passion for vintage rock music. The logo features imagery reminiscent of old record stores, incorporating elements like wings commonly found on rock music album covers, such as those of Van Halen. Experimenting with a vinyl record adorned with wings, I crafted a logo in three contrasting colors: red, black, and copper yellow.
